EMM-Check 4.2.6.0

Please find information about the latest changes since the previous release of EMM-Check.

Basic Functions
  • Adding a Reference Point on geometry
    A reference point can now be directly added by right-clicking on the geometry. The new reference point will then be added underneath the selected component and the click-position will be applied to the reference point.



  • Reset of controls
    In the controls dialog, every control can now be reset separately.



  • Applying a scene
    If a control exists on a component, the current value for the control will be applied when a scene is applied. This prevents the component from 'jumping' when the control is used after a scene has been applied.

  • Extended Rule
    The 'Extended Rule' has been improved. By using the new option 'Record Values' allows you to visually build an extended rules and prevents the use of Excel and the conversion of absolute values to relative values.



  • Selection color
    In the user-settings the selection color (highlight) can now be adjusted. (System / Options / 3D-Viewer)



  • Markings in Driver Mode
    When in Driver Mode, markings can be defined on the ground floor by clicking with the left mouse button while pressing Ctrl.



    The view direction and position in Driver Mode can now be reset by pressing 'Ctrl + R'.

  • Bugfix
    We have fixed a bug that lead to a crash during analysis (independed from the selected standard). The crash occured very seldom.

  • Company News
    If there are user-defined news messages, the first one will automatically be displayed when starting EMM-Check.


ISO 5006:2017
  • New profiles for large machines
    We have added additional profiles for machines that are outside the defined weight range if ISO 5006:2017. This profiles cannot be 'locked'. In the report the statement 'The vehicle complies with the standard.' will be replaced by 'The vehicle complies with the defined criteria.' and the warning 'Profile not locked.' by 'Non-standard profile.'.



  • Merging threshold for computing the filament alignment
    The merging threshold for computing the filament orientation can now be adjusted when the filament shall be adjusted perpendicular to the geometry. When two components that will probably cause a masking are very close together, they can be merged and the filament will be aligned to the center of the merged component instead of to the centers of both components separately. This 'merging threshold' will be printed in the report.




    The above screenshot shows two components (handrail and cab post) which are positioned close to each other. If the angle between the components is smaller than the merging threshold, the components will be treated as one component when the alignment for the filament is computed. In this case the filament will be aligned perpendicular (centered) to both components. If the angle is greater or equal than the merging threshold, the filament will be aligned separately perpendicular to each component. The default merging threshold is 1deg.

  • Bugfixes
    • A bug has been fixed: When a masking on a sector border was smaller than 100mm after it was merged, it was not filtered. According to ISO 5006:2017 all maskings smaller than 100mm must not be taken into account. Now these maskings will be filtered.
      This also effects the DIN EN 15830 and the ISO 5006:2006.
    • The textfields on the tab 'Indirect View' in the dialog 'Profile Settings' are now locked correctly when the profile is locked.
    • The footnotes a and b are now supported for the following profiles:
      • Skid Steer Loader
      • Wheel Excavator m<10t side boom
      • Crawler Excavator m<10t side boom
      • Roller m<5t





ISO 5721-2
  • Evaluation according to section 5.2.3
    • The evaluation of ISO 5721-2 has been improved. According to section 5.2.3 a remaining masking behind the vehicle of up to 10% through attached parts is allowed when visual aids are used.
      EMM-Check calculates the maskings are normal. This means all geometrical components will be taken into account. Then the indirect visibility fields of mirrors and camera will be computed with attached parts (Properties of model: Type='Attached Part') and then without the attached parts.
      During the evaluation of the results the indirect fields with attachment parts taken into account will be combined with the remaining maskings. In this case a remaining masking of up to 10% is allowed.
      Then the indirect fields without attachment parts taken into account will be combined with the remaining maskings. In this case a remaining masking must be 0%.
      If both criteria are fulfilled, the test will be passed, otherwise not.
      When using visual aids, the remaining maskings on the areas beside the vehicle must be 0%. When not using visual aids, the remaining masking on these areas can be up to 10%.
